It has been said that nutritional deficiencies are the most common and the least acknowledged contributors in the development of disease and illness. This is so because most people are not eating balanced food groups. They are not eating whole, pure and natural foods as we should.
The fresh juice of fruits and vegetables contain vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other factors that enhance our health. So even if you’re feeling the best ever or feeling low in energy, juicing will have a positive impact on your health.
Adding wholesome foods and fresh juices to your diet, combined with positive thoughts, having quality companions in your life and exercise can be the start of the journey to a more healthy and happy life.
Vitamins:What is the Function of Vitamins?
Vitamins are organic compounds that our body cannot make on its own. Vitamins are used to fuel our bodies. By fuel, I'm referring to our metabolism, growth and repair. A deficiency of only one vitamin can produce symptoms of disease.
Fresh juice is an excellent source for acquiring vitamins. Used in balance with a whole foods diet, juicing will supply you with an adequate amount of vitamins and nutrients for optimal health.
Unlike synthetic vitamins, fresh juice will not cause you danger of toxicity, buildup or imbalance.
If you are looking for vitamin potency, choose the vitamins you want and drink the juices that contain them. It's just that simple.
Here are a few examples:
Vitamin A ~
Promotes normal growth and development, helps eyesight, maintains clear & healthy skin and has been linked to cancer prevention. Fresh carrot or 'green' juices contain an abundance of vitamin A.
Vitamin C ~
Known to help cure colds, heart disease, cancer and other ailments. Vitamin C is an antioxidant. It helps protect our nerves, glands, joints and helps absorption of iron. All fresh fruit and vegetables contain Vitamin C.
Vitamin B Complex ~
This group work together to help the body digest and use the energy in carbohydrates. It also promotes resistance to infection. Green, sprout and citrus juices made with a high speed juicer contain significant amounts of B Complex.
Vitamin E ~
This is an important antioxidant. It helps the heart to function and promotes the use of fatty acids. Scientists also think that vitamin E may protect fertility in women and men. Fresh beet, celery and green juices contain vitamin E. (Whole grains, seeds and nuts do also)

I've got a Jack Lalanne's Power Juicer (older model) and use it a lot! It's healthy and very yummy! So much better than the so-called fresh juice you buy in stores.
