Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Alternative Therapy

Chronic Fatigue is described as persistent and severe fatigue. You may encounter difficulty sleeping or concentration, experience a sore throat, depression and muscles or joints that ache.

Although the cause of Chronic Fatigue is still not clear, many people who suffer from this syndrome have a had time finding a Doctor who understands this syndrome. There really isn't any conventional treatments and doctors tend to prescribe antidepressants and anti- inflammatory drugs.

If you do not want to be on a prolonged period of taking drugs, you may want to consider alternative treatment. These treatments can also be used alongside conventional medicine.

Chiropractic is used to un obstruct flow of nerve impulses from the brain through the spinal nerves and throughout the rest of the body. The thought is when there are misalignments, there is interference with the transmission of nerve impulses and is often felt as pain. The chiropractor 'adjusts' the patient back to normal.

The use of Physical Therapy/Massage and exercise can bring about movement which is needed for overall well being. A low impact routine can help you face your daily life when experiencing symptoms of Chronic Fatigue.

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese remedy for treating pain. Inserting microthin needles into acupuncture points, can provide immediate relief. Another acupuncture method is 'cupping' which uses small glass jars to draw additional blood supply to an area and helps relieve muscle tension.

Using a natural healing system and diet are others ways to approach the symptoms of Chronic Fatigue. When I say natural healing, I am referring to your healing abilities without the use of drugs. Herbal remedies, yoga, mediation, positive thinking.
Your diet should exclude sugar, caffeine, alcohol, saturated fats, dairy and gluten containing grains.
Eat more healthy and include more vegetables, legumes, whole grains, protein, essential fatty acids (nuts, seeds, cold water fish). Red meat should be eaten in moderation.

You should remember that if you suffer from Chronic Fatigue, you are not alone. It may help you to talk with others who face the same challenges.
